For all the mommas who chose formula instead of breast-feeding, this goes to you. Lets face it, formula is too dang expensive. At my local Walmart, I have to get the similac sensitive due to my baby's stomach condition. It cost $26+ for each can. My chunky baby has to take 11-12 cans a month. That's $286-$312 out of your pocket if you pay for it yourself. I'm signed up with WIC. I know that it might be embarrassing for some to ask for help, but the sake of my baby, I made that choice. My husband and I don't make enough to pull out almost $300 for formula alone. I can use our money for other important stuff such as diapers and wipes. A LOT of people think they're not eligible for WIC and they get a surprise when they are. For my family of 3, I'm eligible until our income reaches $3,149 a month. I get 10 cans a month with WIC and I can get the rest that I need. When your baby hits 6 months, WIC offers baby food for free as well. WIC really helps out for families in need. The income guidelines are different if you apply in Alaska or Hawaii. I'll have the URL for the guidelines below. When it comes to our babies, don't be afraid to ask for help. They deserve the best. https://www.fns.usda.gov/sites/default/files/wic/WIC-IEGS-2017.pdf
